“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”                   –    Jalaluddin Rumi

This week let us exam our “Gifts” and “Talents.”

Gift — something given, something easily gained; something bestowed voluntarily and without compensation. In our Tool Box we have all received a gift from God and the Universe that is marked “Non Refundable/No Return.”  This means that we have full ownership of these gifts for our entire lives, until we depart this earth.  Gifts can be pleasurable, that is, if we cherish them and use them wisely.  They are also bestowed upon us in many different forms.

As we continue to exam and re-examine our Tools we should keep in mind how we might “re-purpose” a specific Tool.  Seasons change; have we entered a season that requires us to shift gears in the way we are using our Tool(s).  The Tool(s) we are presently using and the way we are Moving is no longer adequate for the destination we wish to reach.  Decide this week on which Tool from your Box that you are going to re-purpose. Will you teach the course differently?  Will you utilize a PowerPoint presentation in your next staff meeting to gain more interests from your co-workers, and will you register for that course?

Let us make a conscious decision today to initiate change.  Remember, “Successful People Move Differently.”
