“If people refuse to look at you in a new light and they can only see you for what you were, only see you for the mistakes you’ve made, if they don’t realize that you are not your mistakes, then they have to go.”                                                                                    – Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free

As we continue to fine tune our inner melodies by enhancing our “Rhythm and Routine”, we will consistently find ourselves letting some things and people GO. Initially, this practice is challenging, as we are used to dancing with the same people and singing the same lyrics that generate the same “comfortable” results. Conversely, the opposite is true – – we may not be compatible dancing partners for some of those with whom we engage ourselves, and our tunes may be cacophonous to their harmonies.

Self reflection can be inconsolably uncomfortable, rendering the kind of insight that illuminates regret and despair from hindsight. This inner work, however, aligns mind, body and soul under one accord and recalibrates the harmony of our “Rhythm and Routine.”

It is imperative that we sing a new song, dance to a different groove, and reinvent our “Routine” to initiate change in our lives and accomplish our goals. Remember, “Successful People Move Differently.”
